Are you desperate in getting a job? If yes, the, you need a well written cover letter that will catch the attention hiring manager of the company you are applying for. A good cover give a good impression for the company to call you for an interview. Many people usually get ignored due to poor cover letter writing. This letter will contain your passion for the job, your achievement, special skills. This letter show your interest in the job. A good cover letter motivate the employer. Make sure you know the requirement for the work before writing a cover letter.

In this article, we shall discuss the tips on writing a well written cover which can help you secure a job. The tips includes the following:

  1. Introduction : Your cover letter should have a better introduction which will includes your name, company name and the position you are applying for. Your introduction should have your qualifications. This is very essential.Make a very good impression in your introductory part of the letter.
  2. Avoid discussing about why you need the job : Some people are fond of including why they need the job. In a very good cover letter, it should contain words that will motivate the manager to employ you not the word that will make him feel that you only the money in the job. Avoid the talking about salary in the cover letter. That sounds funny right? It’s what people use to do which needs to stop.
  3. Be passionate : In you letter, be very passionate about the job. Show how much power in you to take their company to the top not meaning you should say what you cant do. Is that taken ?  Write about what you know you can do.
  4. Talk more about achievement and skills : You should talk about your experience and the skills you have. Do include the special skills you have that rare people have. Add skills that you have tested and it worked not skills you are just practicing. Make sure you have documents that backs your claims up. All your achievement certificate or document should be attached to the letter. Talk about how you can work on a little or no supervision.  
  5. Do not talk about irrelevant : This letter should not contain irrelevant information. Irrelevant information are those information that is not related to the job. For example, you talking about how you had an accident in a cover letter. I promise you that your letter will end up in the trash bin. You need to talk about the useful information. This also shows that you should be brief in the letter.Focus more about discussing what they want. Don’t talk unnecessarily.
  6. Conclusion : Conclude the letter in a very motivating way that will make the employers feels like you are the best person for the job.
  7. Proof Read : Make sure you remove all the errors in the letter before sending the letter. Having errors in the letter show how you will not be patient and make error in their organization.  

How to Write a Cover Letter

It’s very easy to write a cover letter trust me if you follow the tips above and the steps below. The steps includes the following:

 

  • Step 1: Your address : You should have you contact information at the top of the letter. This includes your house address, your email, date.    
  • Step 2 : The recipients address : This will have the position of the person that is recruiting or the head of recruitment department you are applying to. Kindly , do some research on the head. Make sure you include the name of the company and where it is located.
  • Step 3 : Salutation : How will you feel when your child come back from school without greeting you?  The way you will feel is how the person recruiting will feel too when you didn’t include salutation in your letter. For example , Dear Sir or ma. If you don’t know the gender or title of the person , kindly use the “Dear Hiring manager,”.
  • Step 4: Introduction : This introduction should have how happy you are as you apply for a job in the company. It should have the position you are applying for and the name of the company. You can add your educational background. It should have some parts of your achievement. How you get to know that they are recruiting - it may be your friend, newspaper, television, signpost or company billboard.
  • Step 5 : The body of the letter : This is a place where people make mistake and where they got it. You need to more about your achievement that have document that can back it up. Your experience and how you will help the company to progress to the next level.
  • Step 6 : Ending the letter : You should end the letter in such a way that will have thank you and will make the company to call you for organization. It should end in way to show how you will be waiting for their positive reply.   
  • Step 7 : Complementary close : You should use a complementary close that will show them you will be faithful to the company.

This sample will help you write your own cover letter. For example , a teacher is needed in a school with a qualification of at least BSc with a minimum of 5 year experience. Here is a cover letter for that kind of job.

Dear sir,

 I herewith apply for the post of a class teacher at Pro Foundation School. I became aware that your school needs teacher on the notice board in Laspo Area. I am well trained teacher which I completed my teacher training course in the year 2010. I have a BSc in Special Education in the ear 2014. I started my teaching career in 2015 at Momagetise School.

 I have helped Momagetise school win a lot of of award in my years of stay and I was given the most active and best teacher of the in my three years stay. I helped the slow learners pick up and made them the best in the class. Have a special skill in teaching deaf and dumb student and other student facing casualties or the other. The second the I worked with in Gani state before relocating to Kangidi became the most populous school in Gani State and my class is the most populated class in the school.

I also do arrange extra lesson class for my school slow learners to catch up for free. The picture of our extra lesson class is attached with my letter.
